Cosmate^®ZnPCA,Zinc Pyrrolidone Carboxylate,Zn PCA,Zinc PCA,Zn-PCA,is the Zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, is a zinc ion in which sodium ions are exchanged for bacteriostatic action,a synthetic skin-conditioning ingredient derived from zinc that has anti-aging benefits due to its ability to suppress collagenase, an enzyme that, left unchecked, breaks down healthy collagen in skin.It also acts as a humectant, UV-filter, antimicrobial, anti-dandruff, refreshing, anti-wrinkle and moisturizing agent.
